Classroom Resources

Classroom Setup:

IntelRag is published using the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). It is designed to support multiple users over a high bandwidth internet connection. Designed as a fully responsive site, it works with full-size monitors, tablets, and smartphones.

Preparation and Instruction

Practice - Single Display: Any device that allows access and projection of the site can be used to practice, research, and print materials. A single display on the instructor's desk with a projection unit to the screen is also a good practice environment.

Instruction or Practice - Multiple Displays: The best option for practice is to use multiple displays. This option allows leaving the dashboard on the instructor's display while projecting a different page view to the screen with a projector.

Optimum Practice - or Student Learning Method: Practicing or monitoring students preparing for presentations is best accomplished using multiple displays, and multiple whiteboards, with a single projector.

With this method, whiteboards are placed 90 degrees to each other. The projector displays the material on one whiteboard, while the instructor or students practice writing the material on the other whiteboard.

This works great for practicing, drawing, and explaining complex diagrams and math formulas.

Another great advantage to this method is proportioning material written on the board. When the practice material being projected to the whiteboard is properly proportioned, practice enhances outcomes in the classroom or seminar.

Open Education Resources

The video provided by Open Educational Resources is one in a series that explain what is available and where to get it. Shortly after viewing the first video, a new window will appear with a continuing series.

The following are mentioned in this first video presentation:
